We built SoapboxGen, a React platform that turns a candidate's resume into a 40-second professional video that shows how they think, communicate, and operate — before the interview. Built from the resume, guided step-by-step, and ready to share anywhere they apply, so job seekers get seen instead of screened out.
Turning Resumes Into Video Introductions
SoapboxGen fixes a familiar problem: you've sent the applications, tailored the resume, done everything right — and you're still waiting. A resume lists what you did; it can't show how you think or communicate, and recruiters form that impression in seconds. SoapboxGen puts candidates in the room with a 40-second video intro that shows who they actually are, before the interview.
We built the platform in React around a guided, step-by-step flow: answer a few questions, get a recruiter-ready script generated from your resume, record as many takes as you need, and publish a branded profile card — video, credentials, and resume in one place. It takes about 15 minutes, needs no video experience, and shares by link, email, or QR code. The concept comes from founder Richard Levien, drawing on 19 years in recruiting.
